Energy is contagious whether it is negative or positive. As someone who has trouble soaking up negative energy when I am around negative people, I had to find a way to not let those type of people affect me. I have learned in discovering true happiness, that I have to be mindful of who I allow in my life and how I respond to negativity. As someone who tries to carry a constant positive and calm state, I have also learned to become more grounded in my positive state. Negativity is unavoidable. Even if you control the people that you let in to your life, you can't always control all the negative people you come in to contact with throughout your day. How you react to negative energy can make a big difference. Rather than give in to someone's negative energy you just need to remain in your calm, positive state and let it roll away from you. When you let someone's negativity roll off you and can control your reaction, it may also change the energy within that negative person. Let yourself release the need to comment negatively to a negative situation, but instead say nothing and stay still. After you learn to block out the need to give in to the negative energy or drama it will become like second nature and negative people will have little effect on you. Allow your positive energy to be contagious to those that are negative and stay grounded in your calmness. The only one that controls your happiness and state of mind is you. Learn to control and protect you positive state and life will only get better for you.
Like most people, fear is something that is felt when we are approaching something that is unknown to us. Fear can exist when we are starting a new job, a new relationship, or just simply trying something completely out of our comfort zone. Fear is not understanding how a situation will turn out because we don't have enough information or experience to relate to it. Our mind often fills with fear when we are intimated by a situation and are scared that it will turn out negatively. The fear of failure can take over you mind. But, what we all need to remember is that fear can be a good thing. Without fear, there would not be anticipation. Fear is just excitement masked. Fear is the feeling you get before you take the leap in to the unknown. The mind tells you that you can't handle the unknown event because there is not enough information to move forward. You just have to just learn to block those feelings of uncertainty out and visualize a feeling of a time when you felt really confident. When you are trying something new, visualize an event or time that made you feel confident, and use that memory to step into the thing that you are fearful of. Always have that confident memory on cue in your mind and practice bringing your mind back to that confident event. In the future, whenever you are faced with a fear you just have to recall that confident memory and you will be able to calm your mind quickly. Releasing your fears is simply just training you mind to remember what it is like to be confident. It may seem difficult at first and it does lots of practice. But after doing this exercise for so long, eventually you will just be able to release all fears without thinking twice and confidence will be your new best friend. So embrace fear and remember that you can be confident in the face of the unknown, you just have to remember your confidence!
We can only progress in life, if we make changes. Many people hate making changes even though it can bring about positive life changing events. Being stuck in your current negative circumstances can feel like a black hole. Changes can be scary and you may feel that once you make a change that you will fail. You may also feel that you don't deserve a better life. Failure and doubt are the main reasons why people avoid change. People that fear change build walls to avoid it. When you are resistant and stubborn to change, you are only allowing yourself to waste away in your current negative situation. People that avoid change are often holding on to a door that has already been closed. For example, when you cling on to a job or relationship that is completely unfulfilling, you are just blocking yourself from finding happiness because of your fear of change. Happiness can only come when you accept that a complete change is needed to move forward into the possibility of happiness or love. Without the risk of making a change to better your situation, you will be forever stuck. Taking the risk for happiness is always better that doing nothing. Even if the change fails, it will still leave you with a lesson that you were meant to learn in order to move forward in life. By following your intuitive thoughts rather than block them, you can reach for what will make you happy and fulfilled. Patience is needed in making changes. Change does not come instantly and can take work. But making steps towards positive life changes are always better than staying stuck in your present unfulfilled happiness. Change is a good thing, so take the first step towards it, be patient and happiness will come to you.
