What does it mean to think with your heart and not your head? It means that sometimes what comes from your heart is not always going to seem rational to your head. Thinking from your heart means following your intuition when you head fills that feeling with doubt and fear. Thinking with your heart means following your dreams when they seem impossible and scary. It means loving someone when you aren't sure if you will be loved back. Following your heart means moving away from everything that you know that feels safe and comfortable to pursue things that will bring you pure happiness. By pursuing what your heart is telling you, you are living an authentic life. When you follow what you love, it will never feel like work for you. Ignoring your internal insight, often leads to unhappiness and being unfulfilled. If your heart tells you to work on art rather than work in finance follow that feeling. If you follow what your heart is telling you, opportunities will come to you. Intuition often leads to important risk taking decisions that will pay off in a positive way. Many brilliant business ideas begin on an intuitive thought. By thinking with your head and using logic, you will not always come up with the evidence that will support what your heart is telling you to do. When you follow what your heart tells you there is often no proof that the idea will work. But if you hold confidence in knowing that you heart doesn't lie, you will be lead to the right place in your life at the right time. You may live with regret for not following your heart and that’s not a good feeling to carry around. When you choose to ignore what your heart loves and wants, you are ignoring who you are meant to be. When you ignore intuition, you will become complacent in life. Your life will eventually catch up to you and you will realize that your life is not where you want to be and it will feel misplaced. Once you begin to make decisions based more on what your heart tells you, life will feel more meaningful and whole. When you follow your heart, life will seem much clearer and less confusing. Decisions will begin to feel less anxious because you will learn to trust your internal insight. Make choices that will make you heart sing rather than sink and fulfillment will follow.
Happiness is not something that you can search for. Happiness and peace are already things that you hold the keys to. If you are unable to find happiness and peace within yourself, it is because you misplaced the keys to those things. Rather than look for a new shiny pair of keys or spare set of keys. Just look for the original set of keys. Meaning that if you can't find your own inner happiness, start by clearing out all of the things that are clouding your mind and blocking it. When we lose connection to ourselves, we forget how to be happy and begin to look for it in other people (codependent relationships), and other things (jobs, money, addictions, pleasure seeking activities). Nothing outside of us will ever bring true everlasting happiness and peace. Although we can do things that give us the effect of happiness, that feeling is not permanent and will constantly need to be filed because it's not genuine. Some people never find the true meaning of happiness. But, the truth is very simple. Happiness comes with accepting that you are all you need. All the love, acceptance, and recognition you are seeking elsewhere are all at their greatest forms within you. True happiness comes with acceptance and confidence. Within that regardless of what others have showed you or told you in your past, you are all that you will ever need to feel loved and at peace. Let go of limiting beliefs that you are unlovable or not able to be accepted. Instead, allow yourself to feel loved and accepted. When you do so, freedom will come to you. The freedom you feel from self-acceptance will bring you true happiness. Once you have this, everything else such as relationships, your passions and your purpose will all be found along the way and life will be much more aligned with the true you. And in turn life will feel that much more fulfilled.
Some people find their purpose when they are young and stick with it, and others pick a purpose they think is acceptable or maybe what others have told them they should do and just go with it. But, for the most part many people struggle to find something that makes them both happy and fulfilled. People are so caught up in paying bills, having relationships and life responsibilities that they often never get the chance to do some self-discovery on what truly brings them happiness in their heart. Finding your true life purpose is an important part of being alive. Everyone is born with an ingrained talent or purpose for being here. If you are unsure how to dig that up, begin by thinking what makes your heart feel content. Is it a love of music, a love of writing, helping others, teaching people, or possibly speaking to groups of people? Think about what you can do in your life that is effortless to you. What can you do for hours, without even thinking? If you can't think of things that make you feel content start by setting aside time to explore yourself by taking a class on something you always wanted to explore, volunteer to serve others, or join a club that interests you. Finding your purpose is finding your true self and what makes you happy to wake up every day. It's never too late in life to find your purpose and pure bliss in life. What would you do if you had no fear in life? What dream would you chase after? We all have dreams, ones that we often let die. The things we love and succeed at in our free time can be turned in to our life purpose. It can take time and patience to turn your life purpose into a career, but it can be done. And the work and time it takes to make your purpose a job is well worth the happiness received. So stop and think, is your daily routine making you feel alive?? If, not... What makes you feel alive? Stop making excuses, that you are too old to find your purpose. If you are still alive, you are never too old to find what makes you feel alive. If making your purpose a career is no longer an option, that doesn’t mean that you can't do it for fun or as a volunteer. Doing your ingrained life purpose will bring more happiness to your heart than you could eve imagine and you will wake up each day feeling whole and closer to your true being. Without finding your true life purpose, you aren’t allowing your soul to be free and your life to be completely fulfilled. Life is meant to be joyful and filled with never ending happiness, so if you don't have it..look now. Don't waste another day just going through the hours of the day feeling unfulfilled.
