As we begin the season of fall, it's a time to think of the new season as a fresh start. It's time to think of the turning of the weather as a turning within us. Many people get slightly sad or depressed once summer ends and the weather gets colder. But, one thing that we can do is think of it as more time to focus on ourselves and the inner work that we have to do. Because summer is full of activities and the warm weather can be distracting, we can often forget in the summer that there are things we need to focus on within ourselves. So as fall begins, think to yourself, what's missing? Or what needs work? Likely, you may also not know where to start, so as a starting point think of what you have been putting off. Instead of waiting for a New Year's resolution to get started on what you always put off, start it now. So whether it’s to have better health, heal relationship with family or yourself, start working on your passions or career, or to begin to date again, START NOW. Things that take work will feel the same if you start them now or if you wait. The sooner you begin your fresh start, the faster you will reach your new beginning. To encourage your fresh start, begin to visualize what that will look like at the success point. So if for example, if you need to work on healing the relationship with you mother then you could visualize what that may look like when it's healed. A healed relationship with you mother could look like you and her making Thanksgiving dinner together and laughing over a glass of wine in the kitchen of the house you grew up in. Whatever it is, picture it in your mind. The strongest way to begin to heal and motivate you is to come up with a strong visualization, and begin the work to reach that. Each day, when you work on what needs fixed remember that visualization. So as you begin your new season and new start, picture what you want to reach for and let the picture in your mind push you to that new beginning....
