As we go about life, we go through experiences that leave a mark on us or several marks on us. Trauma is a part of living. Everyone goes through some type of trauma at some point in time. Trauma builds walls of fear or blockages in your mind. So how do you get rid of the blockages that were put up in your mind from all the bad experiences? For example, you may have been in a bad relationship with someone that was abusive and because of this you don't trust other people. Or maybe something happened in your life where a loved one left or died, and you were left feeling abandoned. So because of these bad experiences, we have blockages placed on our subconscious and we do anything to protect them. Life gives us challenges constantly to take down those blockages, and instead of let the blockages go we usually protect them even more. Fear of leaving what is safe in our minds, is the fear of taking down the walls that trauma build. The fear that holds us back from trusting people and getting in to a loving relationship, the fear of trying to pursue our passions, the fear of living the lifestyle that will bring true happiness is all held back in our minds due to what traumatic experiences tell us to fear. But, fear is something that can be overcame. Fear is darkness and guilt, and the freedom from fear is happiness and light. To break down your fears, you have to walk through them. You have to face them head on and allow the pain that these fears carry, be felt. Rather than avoid the pain of facing your fears, permit the pain to come up then pass through. When you are challenged to face your fears, look at it as a time for growth and purification. So stop defending your fears that hold you back, and instead realize that you have to surrender your pain and fear in order to live a more fulfilled life. Let all of your fears come up, feel the pain, surrender them, and let go. Feeling all your pain pass through you will bring you to your true core happiness. Stay centered and aware of what brings fear and release it. The harder you fight to keep your fears close, the worse they will get, so let go now and you will be that much closer to happiness and your true self. Let all your fears just fall to the ground, and happiness and peace will then appear in its place. Only true happiness and peace will come when you let go of fear.
