As children, our minds are so pure and filled will love, peace, and happiness. Children feel no judgment towards others, no hate, no jealousy, just pure happiness and love. As we grow older, the world begins to take a toll on us. Our lives become more difficult, we have more responsibilities, more expectations placed on us, and we go through some failures. As we grow and age, our child-like minds begin to disappear, we no longer become accepting of everyone, and we no longer live each day to be happy and loved. Our minds turn to struggle, blame, judgment, and discontentment. As children we have contentment in small simple things, and little need for materialistic items or a need to prove ourselves to others. Children do not care what clothes they wear, what a house is worth, or what a person's job is, so why do we have to? Contentment in adults becomes so much harder to find. Most adults are not content, and many express unhappiness in their daily lives. Adults often try to buy happiness through drinks, food, clothing, or houses. But, contentment is not truly ever there. So why does life have to be this way? Why do people have to grown up and lose their contentment in the simple things of life. Why does becoming an adult and aging have to do with accumulating more things, more money, more power and more success? Why can't life be about being filled with peace, love, happiness, and just the simplicity of life?
Well, the truth is life can be simple and content, if we allow it to be. We don't need to compare ourselves to other people, have everyone know our name and job title, or tell us how beautiful our house . Instead, we can think more like a child and do what simply make us feel good each day. We don't need to lose the simplicity of a child if we don't want to. Society forces us to want more things, dislike people that are different than us, envy those that have more, and feel discontent for not measuring up but we don't have to pay attention to those things. Life can be simple, content and happy if you follow you heart by doing what you love for a living. Stop worrying about money. Money will come if you follow your happiness. Life can be more child-like if you also allow happiness to be from meaningful relationships with family and friends. Stop thinking that you have to live life by certain standards, and instead live life according to how full your heart feels. Embrace your natural abilities, and share them with people. Help others, don't judge others, and stop comparing yourself to people on social media. The more you add to life, often the less content it becomes. Instead of adding more, what about taking out what is not important and being happy with the life you already have. Stop trying to buy contentment and instead look for happiness within. All the peace and happiness you could ever want is within, and has always been there. We all have peace and happiness when we were young, and then lose it when adulthood kicks in. But, we still have access to all the childlike happiness, we just need to remove all the negative things that are there to block it out. Remember that life doesn't age you, only your mind does if you let it. Life doesn't have to be complicated, unhappy or a struggle. Excitement is possible if you think like a child and discover new things, embrace your creativity, spend time doing things you love and being around people you love. Stop for a minute and try to think more like a child and less like an adult. Happiness and excitement are a choice, and life is meant to be exciting and peaceful. Chase your bliss and stop chasing the things you don't love. Be more childlike, and less like an angry adult then you will see how much happiness will come to you again.
